A portable AI agent device is not automatically a smaller laptop or a replacement for a phone. Its strongest role is to make one short, intentional interaction easier: the owner begins a bounded request, sees a concise state or result, and returns to the task at hand. Oneira starts from a more grounded current layer—an on-device motion-reactive character—then offers real Connected beta links to optional compatible connected tools and services through the app. That division keeps a little hardware companion from pretending it is a universal autonomous computer.
Portability does not remove the need for setup, permissions, or review. The app is where an owner selects a compatible service and decides which account and data scope are appropriate. Network conditions, credentials, support, and compatible behavior can change. Sight is another Connected beta path, only for an owner-triggered visual request. Everyone present must agree before an owner-triggered Sight capture. Translation and creator assistance stay in development, so a purchase should be based on current expression and clearly available connected flows.

Does the agent run on Oneira?
The core expression system runs on-device. Compatible agents and connected tools are configured and routed through the app to their separate runtime.
What is the biggest risk with portable agents?
