Product status

What is available now?

  • Working today

Working today means the expressive face has been demonstrated on a real Oneira device.

  • Connected beta

Connected beta features require the Oneira app, internet access, a compatible service, and permissions you approve. They can change and may not work with every service.

  • In development

Translation, creator help, and photography coaching are in development—not included product promises.

  • Roadmap

Specific third-party connections, storage, places, events, and offers are roadmap ideas—not product promises. No release date is announced.

What you need

Connected beta features need the Oneira app, internet access, a supported service, and permissions you approve. A separate account or fee may also be required.

The short answer

Oneira's animated expression reacts locally. Its 1K camera supports deliberate visual requests, while optional compatible connected tools and services remain a separate owner-configured layer.

Oneira Dream Big+

A local AI powerhouse in a star.

Small enough to look playful. Built with a dual AI chip, OLED screen, and 1K camera, plus optional connected experiences you control.

Each $80 Founding Unit includes one Oneira device with a dual AI chip, OLED screen, and 1K camera, plus the selected color and included eye set. The 1K camera is included; its final production module and other non-material production details may change before fulfillment. Optional connected services, provider accounts, usage, and third-party fees are separate.

On-device

On-device reactions

Oneira's expressive reactions run on the device, so its face can respond without relying on a cloud request.

Connected beta

Optional connected services

Optional compatible connected services can extend Oneira when you choose. Setup, permissions, internet access, provider terms, and usage costs remain separate. Connected experiences work only with compatible services the owner deliberately configures. Oneira does not connect automatically to every service.

A simple flow

How it works in three steps.

  1. 01
    01 / React

Movement changes Oneira's animated expression locally

    →
  2. 02
    02 / Capture

The owner deliberately uses the 1K camera

    →
  3. 03
    03 / Connect

The app can route a request to a compatible configured service

On-device layer

Local reactions do not wait for a server.

Oneira's animated expression responds to movement on the device, keeping the core experience immediate.

Local response does not mean every language, image, or connected tool runs inside the pocket device.

1K camera / deliberate capture

The camera works only when you ask.

The internal camera implementation is private. Publicly, Oneira includes a 1K camera for deliberate visual requests, and it does not record in the background.

Camera use remains intentional. Everyone present must agree before an owner-triggered Sight capture. Final production camera specifications can still change before the build is locked.

Tool layer

Connect a compatible tool only when you choose.

Optional connected tools and services require deliberate owner setup and suitable permissions in the app.

No provider or service is bundled by default. Compatibility, authentication, reliability, data handling, availability, terms, and fees still apply.

Three layers, three different expectations

Understand the boundary before you imagine the stack.

The simplest Oneira flow starts on the device: motion changes the animated face. That Working today behavior is the anchor because it does not need an owner to open a connected request. It is intentionally small in scope. The point is a responsive companion moment, not a disguised claim that the hardware is silently running a cloud assistant in the background.

A different flow begins when an owner chooses Sight. One deliberate frame is handled by an optional connected service for a concise notice, read, or help response. Sight is Connected beta and does not record in the background. Everyone present must agree before an owner-triggered Sight capture. JML does not store the frame or reply in this release, while connected processing remains subject to the active service's controls.

The third layer is app-mediated Connected beta integration. Translation and creator assistance are In development, while optional compatible connected tools and services can be intentionally set up in the app. Each connection has its own service, account, permissions, data handling, availability, and possible fees; support and compatibility can change, and universal compatibility is not promised.

How to evaluate the flow honestly

Questions, answered

The details that decide a purchase.

Does Oneira react locally?+

Yes. Its animated expression responds to movement locally. Broader connected requests can use optional configured services.

What public hardware is included?+

A dual AI chip, OLED screen, and 1K camera are included in the Oneira device.

Are connected tools built into the price?+

No third-party service entitlement is included. Accounts, setup, availability, terms, and possible fees remain separate.

Can Oneira connect to every service?+

No universal compatibility is promised. The service must be supported, configured, authorized, and currently available.

The honest boundary

Oneira's focused helpers have narrow, visible limits. Broader research, coding, and approved-workspace actions remain in development.

01

Can I name the action that starts each connected request?

A trustworthy connected experience has a visible starting point. For Sight, the owner deliberately captures one frame. If you require automatic observation, passive reminders, or a service that acts without a clear request, this is the wrong interaction model to assume.

  • 02

Which layer is essential to my use case?

Decide whether you are buying the on-device motion reactions, the Connected beta visual-help boundary, or a configured Connected beta integration. Only the first layer should carry a Working today expectation; connected layers need their explicit status labels, service requirements, and permission boundaries kept intact.

  • 03

What information am I comfortable routing for a short answer?

Sight is not an offline-only interaction. A deliberate frame uses an optional connected service, even though JML does not store the frame or reply in this release. Keep sensitive material out of frame and verify important output independently.

  • 04

Am I buying an architecture diagram or a current experience?

Optional compatible connected tools and services are Connected beta paths that require intentional app setup. They are not universal or fixed: the selected service, authentication, permissions, availability, terms, costs, and support can vary or change.

  • Good fit

    Good fit if…

    • You appreciate a clear split between self-contained motion behavior and owner-started connected requests.
    • You want a concise visual-help interaction and can make thoughtful choices about what enters a frame.
    • You read product-status labels as practical limits, not as marketing footnotes.

    Choose differently

    Choose something else if…

    • Choose an offline-first tool if every useful function must work without any connected processing.
    • Choose an established service if you need fixed integrations or guaranteed workflow support today.
    • Choose a device built for automation if unattended actions are more valuable than a deliberately initiated interaction.
