On-device reactions
Oneira's expressive reactions run on the device, so its face can respond without relying on a cloud request.

Searching for a small companion device that controls a smart home? Oneira ships scene-style control, movie mode included, routed through your own setup.
Product status
Working today means the expressive face has been demonstrated on a real Oneira device.
Connected beta features require the Oneira app, internet access, a compatible service, and permissions you approve. They can change and may not work with every service.

Understand the agent pathScene thinking
Scene control is the idea worth buying: one command moves several devices to a state you decided in advance. That is a different product from a remote that toggles one bulb at a time.
A companion-shaped controller changes when the command happens. A palm-sized object already near you takes the request without a phone unlock, an app grid, and a scroll past everything else.
On Oneira
Oneira ships smart-home control today, and it includes a scene with a name you already understand: movie mode. One command, and the devices you wired into the scene move to the state you chose for a film.
What movie mode does in your home is decided by your configuration, because that is the true shape of all smart-home control — the device sends the commands you set up, and your setup decides what they reach.
Your wiring
Every connection runs on your own setup, accounts, and permissions, configured deliberately in the Oneira app. The app routes requests only to services you connected, and an agent can act on a service only if you granted it that ability.
No platform-level compatibility claims are published, so this guide names none. Before buying any controller for one specific system, check the current documentation against the setup you actually run.

Questions, answered
Yes — smart-home control ships on Oneira, including scene-style commands. It operates through the setup, accounts, and integrations you configure yourself.
Whatever your configuration says. Movie mode ships by name as a scene; the devices it reaches and the state it sets are decided by what you connected and how you built the scene.
No platform-level compatibility claims are published, and this guide will not invent one. Check the current Oneira documentation against your specific setup before buying for one system.
No Oneira subscription is required for the core product. Smart-home hardware, hubs, and any third-party accounts or fees in your setup are yours.
The app applies your permissions, and requests route only to services you deliberately configured. Nothing acquires control you did not grant.
