"Privacy-first" has become the parsley of tech marketing — sprinkled on everything, nourishing nothing. For AI cameras the phrase deserves better, because the stakes are unusually concrete: these devices point outward at real people and feed real moments into generative systems. A privacy first AI camera should be definable in plain terms, and a product's claims should be checkable against that definition.
