An always-bright animated face, frequent network activity, and constant sensor sampling use a very different amount of energy than a device that spends long periods in a low-power state. A single runtime claim without a test profile leaves out the most important context.
Responsible testing defines brightness, animation state, radio use, interaction frequency, temperature, and battery age. Until production hardware and firmware are validated together, exact promises should remain conservative.
Sleep can be part of the character
Low-power states do not have to feel like failure. The face can become drowsy before the screen dims, wake when the device is lifted, or preserve a small visual cue before turning off. Those transitions teach the owner what is happening.
This is better than letting the screen abruptly disappear or hiding the battery state in a settings page. Behavior can make power management understandable without turning it into a dashboard.

Saving power should not make input feel broken. The system needs a wake path that responds quickly enough for touch and movement to remain connected to the resulting expression.
